Is my online reservation automatically approved?
No. Online reservations will be reviewed, and we will contact you to confirm your information. It's important that you provide accurate contact information for this reason.
What is your cancellation policy?
- Cancellations must be received 14 days (two weeks) prior to your reservation date. There are no refunds for any cancellation within the 14 days of your reserved date.
- If you cut your stay short for personal reasons, no refund will be offered.
- No refund for No Shows.
- No refunds will be given for storms rain, ice or snow. Mountain roads can be curvy & steep. Our roads are well maintained, however we do not refund due to road conditions of any type.
Who do you recommend for canoe/kayak/tube rentals?
We are in walking distance of Riverside Canoe who can provide all your outfitting needs. It is a family business-Terry or Susan Kepple will be happy to help you. They provide excellent service and will even provide shuttle service if you bring your own boats. They will also give Dunrovin renters a 10% discount! Where is the closest shopping for staples? What about local shopping and restaurants?
Downtown West Jefferson is an adorable, quaint town with boutiques, antique stores, wine and coffee shops, a weekend farmer's market, and restaurants. For staples you will find Ingles, Food Lion and a Walmart Supercenter. Our favorite restaurants are Boondocks and The Old Hotel. For a special evening out The River House in Grassy Creek is our "go to" for fine dining. You can find more information about West Jefferson at www.townofwjnc.com .

Verizon has the strongest signal in the mountains but there is a LAND-line available.

Is the grill charcoal or gas?
We have a charcoal Weber grill.
Who is your cable provider?
We provide 50+ channels on YouTube TV through Apple TV with personal access to your other apps such as Netflix.
Who is your WiFi provider?
Our provider is Skybest out of West Jefferson. The password is in the guest folder on site.
What activities are nearby?
Of course river activities are the most popular in the summer. Other activities are Grayson Highlands State Park, Mt Jefferson, Mt. Rodgers, New River State Park, Ashe County Cheese Factory, Churches of the Frescoes, Mountain Aire golf course. There are always events in the area so look at the local websites for listings.
Less than an hour away is the Virginia Creeper Trail, a premier mountain biking trail, which stretches 34 miles from Abington, down through the village of Damascus. It traverses the Whitetop Laurel River and its highest point is Whitetop Station, near the NC state line. There are many bicycle outfitters to choose from.
Also, kids will love Thomas the Tank Engine at Tweetsie Railroad or walking the swing bridge at Grandfather Mountain.
